I’ve been trading for 25 years now, starting out in the 30 year bond pits at the Chicago Board of Trade. So you could say my methods have stood the test of time. The CBOT was the school of hard knocks, and you were either good or they showed you the door.
Let me give you one or two examples of how I always took the road less traveled, resulting in many 6 figure days, and often going weeks without a losing day. A simple thing was to wait for stops to be hit and then go the other way…..almost a guaranteed winner then and today. Another technique was to go the opposite way on a failed formation or failed breakout……again almost always a huge winner as the 80% of traders who are wrong scramble to get out.
These are just a bare few of examples of “real” trading as opposed to looking for the Holy Grail or some magic formula that doesn’t exist. If it did exist, everyone would use it; but since Fx trading is a zero sum game (every winning trade has a losing trade), it doesn’t exist.
